About Our Pellett
Our pine pellets are produced by compressing the wood material which has first passed through a hammer mill to provide a uniform dough-like mass. This mass is fed to a press, where it is squeezed through a die having holes of the size required (normally 6 mm diameter, sometimes 8 mm or larger). The high pressure of the press causes the temperature of the wood to increase greatly, and the lignin plasticizes slightly, forming a natural “glue” that holds the pellet together as it cools.

I have not had a chance to use the recently delivered ton of pellets. I found, while being stacked in my garage, that several bags had gotten wet before delivery and are a now a bag of complete un-usable SAWDUST. This is the first time I have ordered this brand of pellets, had always ordered and used Lignetics, which I felt were superior to any other pellet on the market. “Heaters” are useless and burn far too fast and leave way too much ‘dust’ in the stove. I cannot give a true rating since…

Not bad. It’s a soft wood pellets, and does not burning as hot. Ex. I used a hardwood pellet from another brand, and my stove would keep my 23×33 garage at 78 degrees if Ai left it on and closed up for a day or two in 13-25 deg outside temps. The pellets I’m reviewing keep the garage at a steady 68 degs on the same settings. Which is nice that I might have better control of the heat. There more ash, but not to a point where it’s an inconvenience. For a larger home, I’d probably go with a hardwoo…

I have always used a more expensive pellet, but when I read reviews and due to considerable price difference, I bought 10 bags to try them. This was a good decision. After using the 10 bags, which had very little dust, and burned as clean, or cleaner than more expensive brand, I returned and bought a pallet of 50. I have used about a third of the pallet and each bag has been consistent and good quality. Very pleased.

This was my first time purchasing pellets from Ldwoodllc. I ordered 2 tons. The first ton was great, nice and dry. The second ton had a tear in the plastic that let water onto the individual bags. I didn’t notice this until I got it unbundled at home. There were about 18 bags that had water damage. I was able to return them for exchange at the store but what a pain. If you buy as a complete ton on the pallet make sure to check the plastic wrap for damage before leaving the store. Other than that th…

Lots of ash, I’m new to the pellet stove world, but these guys created a lot of ash. Switched back to the Greene Team ones after 4 bags.
