The Leaves
Its needles are light green to bluish-green, stiff, and sharp. It is four-sided but slightly flattened with two white bands running along the upper surface and two narrower bands along the lower surface. Sitka spruce needles are arranged spirally along the twig and are attached by small pegs which remain on the twig after the needles fall.
The Cones
Its Seed cones are reddish- to yellowish-brown and hang from the crown. Sitka seed scales are thin, wavy, and irregularly toothed. Pollen cones are red.
The Bark
Its bark is very thin, brown or purplish-grey, and breaks up into small scales.

The cherry was straight with no warps or bends and with beautiful grain. Can’t wait to build something with it.

I would have given it five stars, but took one star off as the top board was dinged in several spots as the wrapping was not secure. I tried ironing it out, but the dings are deep. The other boards are wonderful.
